General Information and Rules for NEESA Lash Wars 2015
NEESA Lash Wars staff reserves the right to final interpretation of all rules.
Judges’ decisions are final and not negotiable.
Please note all entry fees are non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to disqualification.
Qualifications:
All beauty professionals who are licensed and qualified to perform eyelash extensions in their state or country are eligible to compete in NEESA Lash Wars. Proof of licensure and/or qualification is required.
Competitors may only compete in ONE category (Classic, Volume, Fantasy).
Upon registration, all competitors and their models give consent to NEESA to freely use in any form or manner they see fit, all photographs, video and other media taken at the show, including photographs or video taken by a photographer or others hired for Lash Wars by NEESA. All photos, images, video or film shot are property of NEESA and may not be used without written permission. Your registration is considered your signed release.
General Rules:

All aspects of work for each entry must be completed entirely by the registered competitor (or team for Fantasy). Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.

All entries must be performed on site unless otherwise noted. Failure to comply will result in immediate disqualification.

Competitors are responsible for supplying their own live models, when models are required. All models must be over 18 years of age, and may be required to show ID if requested by NEESA Staff.

Competitors are responsible for their model’s behavior and compliance with the competition rules. Failure to comply by either the competitor or the model may result in disqualification or point deduction, at the discretion of NEESA Lash Wars Judges and staff.

Competitors and models must be present at the pre-competition briefing prior to the start of the registered competition. Late arrivals will not be permitted to compete.

Competitors are responsible for supplying all products and supplies, unless otherwise noted. Products must be in their original, factory-labeled containers.

Work areas must be sanitary and neatly set up with all the products that will be used set out and cases closed before the competition begins. Competitors will not be allowed to reach into their case without a judge present after the competition begins.

Competitors must use only professional supplies in its original packaging and labels. Use of any prohibited products may result in disqualification or point deduction.

The presence of any prohibited products on a competitor’s work station will result in point reduction. Prohibited items will be confiscated until close of the competition and only returned upon request.

Once the pre-competition briefing begins, models and competitors are not allowed to leave the competition area without prior permission from Lash Wars staff. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Competitors are not to talk to their model for the duration of the competition, except when asking if the model is comfortable. Failure to comply will result in point deduction.

When time is called at the end of the competition, competitors must immediately stop working, place their tools down and raise their hands up in the air to await further instruction. Competitors must not touch or talk to their models until judging is completed. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

When time is called at the end of the competition, models must remain on the massage table, lying down with eyes closed and with the under eye coverings still in place (Classic and Volume). Models may not get up or leave the competition area until after the judging is completed.

When directed to vacate the competition area, competitors must immediately pack up all belongings and leave the competition area. Competitors must not leave behind any personal belongings that might identify them as the entrant. Competitors are not allowed to be in the competition area during judging. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

During judging, models may not speak to each other or to the judges unless being asked a question.

Models must not indicate in any way, the identity of their registered competitor until after the judging is complete. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
