  1. Members will maintain high professional standards consistent with sound practices.

  2. Members are to conduct business relationships in a manner that is fair to all.

  3. Members will promote professionalism in the eyelash extension industry without discrimination against any fellow member’s background.

  4. Members will further the interests of the Association and encourage cooperation throughout the eyelash extension industry.

  5. Members will refrain from any immoral or unethical behavior in their business dealings.

  6. Members will strive to participate in continuing education to upgrade and improve their knowledge and skills.

  7. Members will abide by all NEESA and Federal mandate for the eyelash extension industry.

  8. Members understand that they must be in compliance with their respective State Board of Cosmetology or other health regulations and guidelines as they apply to the eyelash extension industry.

  9. a) Members will use eyelash extension supplies imported from reputable companies, and will not use any product deemed unsafe or improper by member's respective governing bodies.
    b) Members agree that manufacturers and distributors of equipment or supplies should not provide false or misleading statements to the consumer, and do fully disclose all ingredients.

  10. Members will utilize safe practices of sterilization of all implements or device components that can potentially be contaminated by blood-borne pathogens. Disposable supplies will not be reused.

  11. Members agree that the application of eyelash extensions is semi-permanent. Members will not deceive their clients regarding this aspect of eyelash extensions. Members may not mislead consumers into thinking that ALL extensions will last for a full 4 weeks, nor will members mislead about the potential harm.

  12. Members understand the process of eyelash extension application should be comfortable and pain free for the client. Members may not mislead clients into believing that burning, pinching, pulling and pain are normal during every application.

  13. Members agree that they are in compliance with their State or Provincial laws and regulation in regards to proper licensing.

  14. Members agree not to teach to any other person who falls short of these minimum standards.

  15. Members agree to acquire specialized training in the skill of eyelash extension application (above and beyond the basic training acquired during cosmetology or esthetic program). 

  16. Members agree that all Eyelash Extension Professionals should maintain liability insurance for the safety and protection of the consumer.

  17. Members may not appropriate the use of any NEESA materials, including, but not limited to items such as articles, videos, images, and membership lists for their own personal gain. Members may not reproduce or use any of the aforementioned items in part or in full for any reason without the prior written approval of the NEESA Board of Directors.
