Lash Wars FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’m unable to participate in a pre-qualifying round. Can I still compete?
A: Yes, you can still compete in Classic category, which is open registration for the Las Vegas finale. Unfortunately, in order to compete in Fantasy or Volume categories, you must first qualify in a pre-qualifying round for that category.
Q: If I qualify in a pre-qualifying round, do I still need to pay an entry fee for the Las Vegas finale?
A: Yes. Entry fees must be paid by each competitor for every round they participate in.
Q: I competed in Lash Wars 2014 but didn’t place. Can I still enter?
A: Absolutely! We love to see familiar faces!
Q: I competed in Lash Wars 2014 and placed in top two. Can I still participate in the pre-qualifying rounds?
A: Yes, but keep in mind that since you placed in the top two last year, you can bypass the pre-qualifying round in that category and join the Las Vegas finale automatically. If you choose to participate in the pre-qualifying round anyway and do NOT qualify, you will forfeit your guaranteed spot in the finale.
Q: My state does not have any regulation for eyelash extensions. Can I compete?
A: NEESA will honour the regulations of your state or province. For example, if your state requires you to be a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist in order to perform eyelash extensions, then those are our requirements to compete, and you will be submit proof of licensure. If your state does not have that requirement, then you will only need to show your eyelash extension certification.
